About the event

In this online workshop,  we'll explore the equine ethogram, evaluate the ethics of various horse-keeping systems and explore the roles of co-regulation and consent in horse training. We will also explore ground-based horse training methods that put the horse's comfort and welfare at the forefront.  It investigates the horse's basic needs, instinctive behaviours and how we can ensure the horse's welfare by advocating for him at all times. This course provides an awareness of the most up-to-date equine welfare and science-based training practices.  It is ideal for horse owners, rescue centre workers and equine professionals. It forms part of the With Horses Equine Assisted Learning Practitioner and Therapeutic Riding Instructor courses.
